How to Buy A Car

As I step out of the car, my foot lands in a massive puddle that I failed to see when parking my car. Should have worn different shoes on a day like today. It's not raining quite hard enough for the umbrella, so I leave it. As I'm approaching the dealership, a tall friendly looking chap in a sharp vest opens the door with a smile. I feel better already. Once he sits me down at his desk, he starts looking into the details of the car I've told him I'm there to buy. Right away I can see that I've made things more complicated than he's capable of and I wonder if I should speak to someone else. However, he's sort of like an eager puppy, so I'm willing to give him my time. He probably needs the sale.
We walk to the back lot and I see that there is damage to the car that wasn't explained online. I'm a bit frustrated that I came all this way in the rain for a car I'm clearly not going to buy. He points across the lot at another car almost identical to the one I had just seen. Would I be interested in looking into that one instead? It's a nicer trim and is listed at a far higher price, so I tell him it's outside my range. As I'm about to walk out the door, he asks me if I'd re-consider the nicer car. I tell him if he can get it under my price range I'd think about it. He promised to call me tomorrow.
The next place I visit has a sweet car that is priced really aggressively and I'm wondering what's the catch. I always check the music through the Bluetooth on my phone to make sure it works. That's it. The stereo in the car wasn't hooked into the car so the controls on the steering wheel and console did nothing. This place is several steps lower than an actual dealership, so the salespeople seem to take a lot of liberty and promise that the radio will be fixed AFTER I purchase the car. Not so fast. Clearly they are used to dealing with people who fall for this kind of tactic, but that isn't going to fly with this gal. I walk and am told someone will help me if I call in tomorrow.
It is now 2 pm tomorrow and I still am no closer to buying a car. I've spoken to at least 6 people at the run-down place about whether they will or will not fix the stereo. And my puppy at the first place has called me 3 times trying to figure out how to get things worked out for me to drive that second car. He told me 25 minutes ago he'd call me back in five. Maybe I'll try again next week.
