PROMPT:

Genre: Fairy Tale/Fantasy

must use action: getting stung by a bee

must include the word "moon".

Requiem

The lake’s surface undulated as hundreds of hoofs displaced the moonlight like scattering stars. Nyla saw the battle from her window.

Encapsulated.

Protected.

Alone.

If she could remake herself, she would become a warrior, fighting alongside her brothers. Instead, like the sting of a bee, her isolation is venom unfurling in her veins.

A knock startles, the soot-soaked messenger brings news of calamity.

A solitary figure, Nyla walks among the charred remains. She faces the dragon, her fear defiant.

All would learn her sacrifice, none would know her pain. From thorny talons, falling into the lake, landing on the moon.
